José Antonio Bautista (born October 19, 1980 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) is a Dominican professional baseball third baseman and right fielder with the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball. He has primarily been assigned the position of right fielder, but has also played first base, second base, left field and center field in his career.
In 2010, Bautista set a Toronto Blue Jays single-season team record by hitting 54 home runs, making him one of 26 players in the 50 home run club. That season, he was the American League, as well as the Major League home run champion.
